Mohamed Salah took to his Instagram account to express his farewell to the Uruguayan international. Nunez was transferred from Liverpool to Al Hilal for a fee of 53 million euros.
Regarding Nunez's move, Salah expressed his gratitude for having worked with him at Liverpool. Salah described Nunez as a fun person who brought a lot of positive energy.
"I feel lucky to have been your teammate and friend. We brought a lot of positive energy wherever we went," he wrote.
"You made us laugh and showed passion in everything you did. You will be missed, and I wish you the best at your new club," he continued.
Nunez and Salah have been together since the 2022-2025 season, playing a total of 122 times together in all competitions. The two have contributed 18 goals to each other's goals.

Nunez's Role at Liverpool and the Uruguayan National Team


Nunez has played for three seasons at Liverpool, with a varied record. He has made 143 appearances and scored 40 goals in all competitions for the Reds.
