Now, Barcelona is preparing for the new season and has been undertaking a series of preseason preparations. Club president Joan Laporta said that Barcelona, currently coached by Hansi Flick, has a squad that will pose a threat to its opponents.
"With this team, we will have unforgettable moments," he said, as reported by the club's official website.
Laporta hopes that last season will serve as a benchmark for Barcelona as they prepare for the new season. In fact, Laporta hopes Barcelona can improve on their achievements in the coming season.
"What we hope for this season is success, success on the pitch. We will compete, and I am confident, with all our strength, in all the competitions we participate in, I am confident we are title contenders," he said.
He also hopes that the Blaugrana fans will continue to support and enjoy the team in the coming seasons. He emphasized that the fans' enjoyment is his commitment.
"We hope Barça fans enjoy being with Hansi Flick's team and experience the joy we've always craved. This is my commitment upon returning: to bring back the joy of being a Barça fan. I think this season, the team is very united and solid with very talented players, and I'm sure we'll have unforgettable moments," he said.
Returning to Camp Nou
This new season, Barcelona will return to their original home, the Camp Nou, which has recently undergone renovations. Returning to Camp Nou will certainly lift the team's spirits amidst the cheers of the fans.
"The stadium continues to grow; it's beautiful every time you see it moving forward. We now have two levels, and the third is under construction. We are working on access points with the requirements set by the City Council, which is working closely with us. This is very important because ultimately it is the Council that approves the first occupancy permit," he said.
"We're really looking forward to returning to Spotify Camp Nou, to coming home," he said.
He also discussed his team's registration process for registering players for the upcoming season.
"This week will be very busy as several operations will soon close, which will give us the Financial Fair Play margin we need to register players," he said.***
