Liverpool is the club widely rumored to be the frontrunner to sign the 25-year-old. However, drama has ensued in speculation surrounding Isak's transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool.

Last season, Isak scored Newcastle's winning goal against Liverpool in the EFL Cup final, helping the team end their 70-year domestic trophy drought.
However, since his transfer rumors this summer, he has not participated in the Magpies' pre-season tour of South Korea.
"We are Newcastle United. Players have a responsibility here to be part of the team and the squad – you have to act in the right way. So, that also applies here," he said.
"We will ensure every player does that, to earn the right to train with the team. No player can expect to misbehave and then train with the team as usual," he said.
In the 2025/2026 Premier League season, Newcastle will open their campaign on Saturday, August 16, 2025, against Aston Villa. It is not yet certain whether Isak will play.
